OUR STORY

Iron Mountain Forestry, LLC was created by Daniel J. Bickhard in 2020. Daniel has a rich career history delivering performance improvements, guiding sophisticated construction projects, developing and cultivation subcontractor relationships and resolving complex problems and concerns for private clients, government agencies and private companies.

Dan is an accomplished leader with a propensity for attaining results that strengthen competitiveness and customer satisfaction. He thrives on challenging opportunities with tight deadlines and restrictive budgets. He is driven to deliver project focus while complying with all safety regulations.

It began with a collaboration between landowners, the Colorado State Forest Service and the Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS). Iron Mountain Forestry LLC worked to implement prescribed treatments for forest health. We have been entrusted in transmission and distribution line rebuild projects with power line rebuilds over the mountains.

Iron Mountain has the manpower and equipment to remove vegetation and provide other emergency services. We also help companies design and institute a Vegetation Management Plan to keep in compliance, avoid fines and help them better serve their customers.

SAFETY COMMITMENT

At Iron Mountain Forestry, safety is our top priority. We place the safety and well-being of our employees at the forefront of our operations. Through ongoing training, provision of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to strict safety protocols, we ensure that every team member is equipped to perform their duties safely.
We are dedicated to maintaining safe work environments across all operations. This includes regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and the implementation of best practices to minimize risks associated with tree felling, machinery use, and other forestry activities.

We are prepared for the unexpected. Our company has comprehensive emergency response plans in place for all potential hazards, including wildfires, severe weather, and accidents. We conduct regular drills and training to ensure that our team is ready to respond swiftly and effectively to any emergency.
We recognize our responsibility to protect not only our workers but also the environment and the public. Our forestry practices are designed to minimize environmental impact while ensuring that our operations do not pose a safety risk to nearby communities, recreational users, or wildlife.

Safety is an ongoing priority, and we are committed to continuous improvement. We regularly review and update our safety procedures, incorporate new technologies, and actively seek feedback from employees to enhance our safety culture and reduce risks across all aspects of our business with our weekly safety meetings.
Every employee is engaged in Iron Mountain Forestry’s Health and Safety Policy and onboarding process. Prior to employment, each prospective employee undergoes a pre-employment screening which includes a health history, physical and mental evaluations and drug testing. Our safety program and training are the most essential parts of our culture.
