Dan started Iron Mountain Forestry working on his own land. Forest Stewardship is the platform of this company and Dan continues this by helping homeowners protect their land and homes by providing many services that include.

1. Conduct Site Assessments
We offer comprehensive site assessments for homeowners to identify potential risks, such as overgrown vegetation, dead or dying trees, or proximity of trees to structures. This includes a checklist evaluating defensible space, the health of trees, soil erosion risks, and the presence of invasive species.

2. Create Defensible Space Plans
We educate homeowners on the importance of creating defensible space around their homes to reduce wildfire risks and mitigate risk to lower homeowners’ insurance costs. We will provide customized defensible space plans that include recommendations for clearing brush, pruning trees, and creating firebreaks. Helping homeowners implement these plans, we offer tree removal and brush clearing services - selective thinning and habitat enhancement aimed to maintaining a healthy forest ecosystem on their property.
