Vegetation Management
Iron Mountain Forestry Vegetation Management services actively reduce trees and other native flora that may threaten power line reliability.
State and federal agencies set strict regulations for trees and vegetation growing under power lines and on pipeline rights-of-way (ROW) to reduce the risk of fires and power outages. Iron Mountain Forestry is well-versed in all vegetation management regulations in Colorado and the United States. Our vegetation management team works with utility companies to create a tailored Vegetation Management Plan that meets the needs of their business and keeps them in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Identifying Hazardous & Dangerous Trees Around Utility Lines
Iron Mountain Forestry identifies all trees on or off the right-of-way that could potentially contact electric power lines as dangerous or hazardous trees. A hazardous tree is structurally unsound and positioned to fall on power lines. In comparison, a dangerous tree may be completely healthy, sick, or dead. We present a plan to manage or remove these trees and other vegetation from the public right-of-way.
Creating a Vegetation Management Plan
Iron Mountain Forestry helps companies design and institute a Vegetation Management Plan to keep them in compliance, avoid fines, and help them better serve their customers. We bring to the job the best equipment available to safely prune and remove trees and clear vegetation from the right-of-way.
